Department of Information Technology
This department is the heart and brain of Sultan Ahmad Shah Medical Centre @IIUM(SASMEC @IIUM) information and communication technology.
It's also plays as a major role in providing ICT and committed to ICT excellence to the demands not only to clinical area but non-clinical area as well in the aspect of Application and Development, Networking, Training, Policies, Security, Email, Web Development, Hardware and Software.
Information technology have emerged, technology in educational hospital grows increasingly complex and requires new interpretation. As a new ways of thinking, the department is a central to provide the design, knowledge, material, process and resource of information technology.

The ITIM ServiceDesk provides a central point of contact for Sultan Ahmad Shah Medical Centre @IIUM(SASMEC@IIUM) staff to report all IT problems, queries and service requests associated with the services provided by ITIM. It is designed to be the first point of contact for IT support and work towards the resolution of issues in the minimum amount of time possible to ensure that any disruptions are minimized.

System Development & Third Parties Integrated System
Manage the third party system & development, mobile apps development, website & portal, etc.
Clinical System
Manage the hospital system, system database, system monitoring, etc.
Administrative System
Manage the non-clinical system (eHR, iKEW), sytem monitoring, etc.
